Motorists will see another round of fuel price cuts this week, marking the second consecutive week of pump price reductions.
Shell Pilipinas Corp. announced Monday that it will lower fuel prices starting 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 13. The price of gasoline will drop by ₱0.30 per liter, diesel by ₱0.90, and kerosene by ₱1.25.
Other oil companies have not yet released their own price advisories for the week.
The Department of Energy’s Oil Industry Management Bureau (DOE-OIMB) earlier predicted the cuts, citing increased oil production by the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) for June and uncertainty in U.S.-China trade negotiations.
Last week, fuel prices were also reduced, with gasoline down ₱0.55, diesel down ₱0.65, and kerosene down ₱0.90 per liter.
Despite recent rollbacks, year-to-date figures show a net increase of ₱3.13 per liter for gasoline and ₱3.00 for diesel. Kerosene prices, however, have seen a net decrease of ₱2.00 per liter as of May 6, 2025.
